What Are Folding Cartons?
A folding carton is a lightweight box made from a single sheet of paperboard that is printed, die-cut, scored, and shipped flat, then folded into shape at the point of packing. It is the most common retail packaging format in the world — used for everything from cereal and skincare to supplements and electronics.
Because folding cartons ship flat and assemble in seconds, they cost less per unit, take up a fraction of the storage space, and reduce shipping weight compared to pre-assembled packaging such as two-piece boxes.
Folding Carton Styles We Offer
Choose the structure that fits how your product is filled, displayed, and opened:
- Straight Tuck End (STE) — clean front panel for maximum shelf branding; ideal for front-facing retail.
- Reverse Tuck End (RTE) — tuck flaps on opposite sides for a deeper display footprint and easier filling. See our tuck boxes.
- Auto-Lock Bottom — self-locking base for heavier products. Browse auto-lock boxes.
- Sleeve & Tray — two-piece structure for a premium, gift-ready feel.
- Pillow — rounded, fold-free ends for gifting and small items. See pillow boxes.
- Display & Gable — for counters, takeaway, and food service. Explore display boxes and gable boxes.
